Bulldogs’ Under-10s hit the ice in Nottingham

TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK: Bulldogs’ Under-10s pictured at Nottingham last weekend.

BULLDOGS Under-10s took to the ice once again, this time heading down to the National Ice Centre to take on regular tournament rivals, Sheffield IHA, Sutton Sting IHA and, hosts, Nottingham.

Yet again, it was another great day of fun, development and hard work for our youngest pups, who started the competition against Sutton when, despite goals from Finley Mardell, Oliver Toney and Conor Donaghey, they came out on the wrong side of a 5-3 scoreline, with Teddy Barnett and Robson Bagott posting an assist apiece.

A mixed team provided the next opposition for the young Bulldogs - one that included three of their own in George Clarke, Teddy Holland and Denis Sprogis.

Chances came and went at both ends and there was plenty of smart play, but they couldn’t find the back of the net as their opponents ran out 3-0 winners.

It was a strong Nottingham team that saw the Bulldogs close out the day, the hosts eventually enjoying a 5-0 win in a game when the Bulldogs pushed them all the way to the end.

A tough day at times, but plenty of smiles to be head from the pups.

Special shout out to Darian Arman, who got the Bulldogs’ Spirit of the Game award for his great work as well as Teddy Holland, who got the award for his effort and determination when playing on the tournament’s mixed team.
